Hampden Underwriting Research (HUR) is the research and development arm of Hampden Agencies. Its experienced team has proven expertise in underwriting, broking, law, business administration, regulation, and statistics, and has extensive access to managing agents, brokers, syndicates and Lloyd’s centrally.

HUR provides:

• Quantitative analysis: quarterly reviews of syndicate loss ratios, reserving strength, expenses, and investment returns, benchmarked against peer groups and Lloyd's as a whole.
  
  
• Qualitative analysis: researched through regular meetings with underwriters and management at syndicate level, and top down industry research comprising brokers, competitors, and market conditions.
  
  
• Publications include: regular advisory bulletins, quarterly and annual market reports, and annual syndicate profiles. These are available to Hampden clients by logging into the Members area of the website.
